When you want to make a point as a writer, a speaker, a lecturer, or even as a ghost writer…a great quote can sometimes help! Some quotes are so powerful or profound that they contain some nuggets of wisdom, or even “gold!”
As a self-help writer and speaker, I like to regularly quote some of the famous people, not just of the present, but even in the past or the distant past. Some quotes are attributed to “anonymous” because no one really knows who said it, or who said it first!
Here is one from 2,500 years ago in China from the lips of Lao-tzu, who said, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” This is a great one when trying to inspire someone to work harder, start a business, or embark on a weight loss program or exercise plan.
Then there is “The person who says it cannot be done, should not interrupt the person who is doing it.” and that is also from China around the same time. This one is ideal for telling someone to ignore the negativity that surrounds them when someone close to them tells them they cannot do this or that!
Of course, I love the one from William Wrigley, Jr., the founder of the chewing gum empire, who said, “A man’s doubts and fears are his worst enemies.” Another great one for motivating someone into action!
John Lennon reminded us that, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” This is good for when something goes wrong, or turns out differently than you expected! Then there is the old, “Stuff Happens” and it is sometimes quoted with another S word, though I cannot recall.
My name is Father Time, of www.FatherTimePublishing.com and I am a self-help writer and speaker, as well as a ghost writer for hire, and a purveyor of powerful and effective good luck charms that really work! We enjoy helping people to have a better life, whatever it takes!
Franklin P. Jones said, “Love doesn’t make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.” This is awesome for any kind of talk, speech, or writing…and would be great in a homemade greeting card.
ArticlesBase.com sure has some cool stuff, don’t they?
Emily Post, who wrote the famous book Etiquette said, “Manners are a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others. If you have that awareness, you have good manners, no matter what fork you use.” That’s powerful!
Maybe YOU Need A Ghost Writer! Why not? You’re busy and do not have the time, so you hire a professional! There’s nothing wrong with that!
Lastly, we have to remember the lyric in the song Bernadette by The Four Tops, “…For the only joy in life, is to be loved!…”
