How to Make Your Corporate Event Unforgettable

[ad_1]

Corporate events are extremely important to holding onto current employees and customers.  However, many people dread going to organizational gatherings. They feel they may be stuck in meeting rooms all day, forced to mingle and network with people they don ‘t know, or perhaps don ‘t care to listen to the same speech that has been given year after year.  Creating events that are motivational and inspiring is a difficult job, and the risk of having a boring event is just too great!

How can you make your next sales meeting, association gathering or company function a time that your guests won’t soon forget? One answer is to make it unique, fun and exciting with outstanding forms of entertainment!

Many event planners are concerned about hiring entertainment for their functions. They worry that the material covered by the comedian will not be business appropriate and contain “blue” material, the hypnotist might cause some of your guests to feel embarrassed or the DJ may play music they want to hear, instead of what your guests want to hear.. These concerns may be due to a previous experience with an unprofessional performer or a horror story from a colleague.

However, it is important to keep in mind that the right entertainment can boost morale, strengthen relationships and add tremendous value to your event.  It can make the event fun, memorable and an overall positive function. It can get your group involved working together as a cohesive team. It can get them laughing and feeling good about your event. Possibly  the most important impact it can have is providing entertainment for your guests that will not only your relay your organization’s message to the group, but also make it unforgettable!.

When creating a an event with positive entertainment, it is important to remember the following:

1. The entertainment should be corporate friendly. The performance should be clean and free of inappropriate comments.  Not only should it be age appropriate, but not contain “blue” material.  We live in a politically correct environment, your entertainers should too!

2. Your guests should not feel embarrassed or ridiculed in any way, shape or form, the act should have good intentions. Getting your audience laughing together is a wonderful thing, but the laughter should not be at the expense of others

3.  The entertainment you hire should be unique and creative. No one wants to see the same thing they have seen before! You want to bring your audience something that is new, something to hold their interest

4.  The entertainment should work with you and provide you with insights on how they can best work with you in your event.  If the entertainment can incorporate your organizational message to their act, you know your audience will not only hear the message, but remember it long after the event is over.

Keeping these things in mind, you can not only make your next event a memorable function, but also succeed in entertaining your audience, and can support your group’s message and objectives!
