Ed Sheeran finds himself injured once again and this time, it could have a huge effect on his worldwide tour.
A word of advice? Maybe take it a little easy on the extra curricular activities, Ed.
Ed is no stranger to, well, accidents in general. He’s had a TON of wild injuries over the years like melting off a part of his foot in Iceland, getting wacked in the face with a golf club courtesy of Justin Bieber… However, his most recent one might put his Divide tour in jeopardy. Early Monday morning, Ed shared a photo of himself on Instagram with one of his arms in a cast and the other one in a sling.
He explained to his fans in the captions that he had a bit of an accident. Ed wrote QUOTE, “I’ve had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x”
There’s probably a 99.9% chance Ed will have to move around some tour dates to recover from his accident. On top of his global tour, Ed is also set to perform at a couple of the Jingle Ball concerts this year and while there isn’t any word yet on whether or not this will affect his upcoming performances, I have a feeling it’s a little hard to play any kind of instrument with both of your arms injured, but who knows! I’m not an expert.
The cause of Ed’s bicycle accident is currently unknown, but according to DJ Smallzy, sources in London told the radio show host that Ed was hit by a car while taking his bike out on a joy ride. Ouch! Well, however it happened, we here at Clevver are sending Ed positive vibes and hope he has a quick recovery!
